The Weatherhead Fund is the premier undergraduate finance organization at Case Western Reserve University. By managing a portion of the University's endowment, the organization strives to provide students with a strong understanding of how capital markets function in the real world.
Since its founding in 2011, the Fund has grown its initial $100,000 endowment to nearly $1.4 million. The executive board also organizes a variety of supplemental activities, including networking events with Spartan alumni, a speaker series of accomplished finance professionals, and recruiter visitations.
The Fund's members are organized into six sector verticals. By working alongside experienced upperclassmen, members of each vertical quickly become experts in their assigned sector. They also become adept investors through routine financial modeling and equity research — presenting investment recommendations to peers and fund leadership throughout the year.
